Just out of curiousity... how would the M112's sound with a rear mounted turbo? Sound clips anyone? or anything similar?

I don't know Max, there isn't a whole lot of room to work with under there. I was also worried about the proximity of the intake piping to the exhaust, since they were pretty much sharing the same space. Is your setup intercooled?

I was in talks with one of the STS reps about a universal kit, but the project was shelved because of the intake routing issue. The question is, would it still be an issue with an intercooler and/or water-methonal injection?
With an intercooler(even a crappy one) it would easily negate any heat the pipes picked up from the exhaust. An easy fix is to wrap the intercooler pipe with exhaust wrap or ceramic coat the pipe. Water/Meth would drop temperatures to below ambient temps when used with a remote turbo setup.

It would sound like a 320 with the resonator removed except it whistles loudly when you give it moderate throttle. My car sounds no different up top except for the turbo whistle, down low it sounds like a 320 with no resonator.

These have the same engines so reference this except more whistle down low, I think it's running the stock exhaust and only 1psi lol:

Know how to turbo the m272s?
It's the same more or less but I wasn't sure if someone developed a way to really tune those engines yet so I didn't want to put the M27x motors on the list.
If so you could just reference off of my m113 TT list if you want to go twins and use 6 380cc injectors and GT2560r turbos(60 trim, .36 or .42 exhaust housing). If you want a single reference the m112 list and use 380cc injectors and a Garrett T04b S-trim turbo with a .58 A/R turbine housing.

Max you are a turbo genius, nice work!

Question....... Would it make sense for me to do a Dual turbo setup with small housing or one Big turbo setup?

I will end up changing any gaskets or internals that will need to be changed in order to give it the boost I want, but I don't think it will take a lot of boost. Not too sure with this motor.

Another thing you have to think about is the noise level. The remote mount systems replace the mufflers with the turbos. So if you want the attention then the remote system is for you, but if you want your ride to sound somewhat sleeper then you will have to figure another setup. I have been thinking about mounting the turbo on mine where the resonator is so I can still have a semi quiet sleeper setup using mufflers

that depends on what you're looking to gain from doing this ALi...

I consider that largely and I was even thinking of removing my spare wheel well for a dual setup with keeping the mufflers.

I have no mufflers as we speak so I am thinking they are going right where they use to be! My big issues is tuning I have no one near that is able to do this or at least that I know about. :(

Which engine do you have? Yes you use smaller turbos for twins and bigger turbos for singles.

I have a local company called Big 3 here in cleveland and they do everyones cars. I also have Switzer performance who can possible do mine as well and I know one of the owners well.

Plus, I think MHP is in Columbus, no?

Turbo's themselves are about as effective as a straight through resonator, like an oval magnaflow. It's no where near as loud as you think. All those youtube cars I posted have no mufflers.

The m113 has been proven time and again that it is really strong in stock form. HPS made non-intercooled E430's that ran 6psi, Kleeman has run stock m113's of everyform(even the 11:1 compression ones) from 6-18psi+ for tens of thousands of miles, and a few have taken it upon themselves to supercharge their own m113's. The turbos are less stressful on the engine, especially in the rear, and with the track record of the m113 there isn't any thing to worry about.

i think this is more impressive and the install is acutally clean

Once again I am not doubting Kleeman but if your even slightly mechanically inclined you and a competent exhaust shop could do a rear turbo setup for a 1/4 of what those kits used to cost and 1/2 of what they cost now. Rear turbo's aren't "dirty" installs, if you do it right you can have some pretty looking systems. It's no shiny billet Kleemann but its still nice. I think Mongillo did a dirty job on the SL the way they did the intake but there are other clean rear turbo examples out there.

EDIT: You should know by now I'm not a supercharger kind of guy :)

i totally get you, the kleemann kit is super pricey looking at 10k but 370rwhp is nice.. :)
Not an attack against you or any Kleemann owner out there but that is my point. 370rwhp at what I pressume is 6psi. I can do that with my E320 at 12psi and an SL500 with a rear turbo does almost 50 more with only one more psi. My E320 has been running for almost 20K miles and it gets run hard. The SL was built a year or two ago and it is a DD.

No one likes this Brabus247 kid anways with his lame ass CLK hes a punk dont listen to him!
