theres a 4.4 and a 4.8 also. i would think you just want the smallest motor one to save fuel. After all you already got the gas guzzling 55's

The 3.0 is slow as shit. The 4.4 is the best, and the 4.8 is a total waste because it just doesn't perform.

don't forget about sport package,
there's a huge difference in driving characteristics between regular and sport package

i always like x5's when i see them. best looking lux SUV IMO. sport package is a must

shocks are valved differently, stiffer settings, lowered car about half inch to an inch from non sport models, bigger wheels/tires, sport steering wheels, black shadow trim on the outside of the vehicle, titanium grill, etc.

They're right. Sport package on a BMW makes it a different animal. It's not just a wheels/bumper like MB.

To the list of differences, add different front seats, thicker sway bars, black chrome exhaust tips and clear corners.

X5 4.4i is the way to go.
