Any AMG Guys With Rodent Problems?

3293 Views 22 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  hi its me arya
A month ago, we had a rodent problem where a rat/mouse made a nice nest on the supercharger of my dads E55. I personally know 2 more people with a CLS55 and a SL55 that have had the same problem and live within a 5 sqare mile radius. The local dealership (MB of Anaheim) said that it is a common problem in our area, due to the fact that we live in the hills. In our case the fvcker laid a nice nest, chewed through the heat shield on the hood and chewed through some lines near the S/C that cost around 1K to fix. Any other AMG guys in here have this problem or know of anybody that has had this happen to them?

Heres a pic of the damage

i lol'd quite a bit when i saw this too haha. I ws in the garage and i heard a noise from under the hood and i thought i was gonna get mauled by the car like the E55 commercial....but apparently not
Ask mike about his SUPRA and rodents.
Wow, that's gross.
There are a few honda rats running around in here :)
Rodents are a common problem with cars that sit.I have friends that are techs in all barnds of manufactures and they have all told me or showed me some kind of rodent engine comartment problems.Best one I have seen was a rat that ate his way through the air filter and was living in the intake.Owner fired the car up and sucked him up into the mass air meter, car died and off to the dealer it got towed. My buddy did the ususal visuals and them found the little guy cheese grated into the mass air meter! Cant imagine it being to quiet living in an air filter of a Mustang GT? :D
rats are pretty common. we have fun them in the shop. when we find dead one's in customers cars it is always fun to take them and hide them in our fellow tech's tool boxes! it's always fun to see the expression on their faces when the open the drawer to reach for a wrench. unfortunately i have also been a victim of this prank. some unusual ones are pigeons, cats, dildos, etc....
damn...yeah, i remember my supra had that problem when it sat outside. sucks ass! it started up fine...i drove it into the garage, and ever since i parked it in the garage, it wont start =(
