My ultimate wishlist would involve a complementary trio.

1) Canon 5D with a telephoto, wide angle and macro lens.
2) Jangy's HD Digital camcorder
3) Casio Exilim for the stealth pics

I would also need a tripod, cruisecam, and remotes for all the cameras.

Have you used Eric's? Is it truly a piece of equipment worth its asking price?

Eric has the 1DMKII not the 1Ds so I can't really answer that question. The pictures that come out of his 1D look considerably better than my 20D or his 5D. It's hard to describe but it seems like color tone is way better. Eric and I both agree the 5D isn't really worth the money. Hint hint Roupin. Sure it has the megapixels and full frame but the color is just bleh. For the same price the 1DMKIIn would probably be a better option.

Naaah, there are some advantages of the 1D that the other Canons can't replicate. Plus it didn't hurt that he was a Canon employee at one time so everything he has was bought at a very deep discount.

It's an okay camera but for $3k you'd expect more. All of the pictures I've seen from the 5d are just so-so.

Ling, I envy your rig setup.

Here are samples of my rig shots; having to spend more $500.00 at filmtools in Hollywood

20D 24-70 f2.8L (definetly not wide enough).

Would it be possible to share notes on building a rig??? Purty please?
