Car washes and 19" wheels

Anyone paranoid about taking your car to a car wash with 18/19/20"wheels and having them scrapped? To busy to hand wash all the time. Does the tire bead protect the wheel and am i just paranoid?

If you mean the auto washers, then hell yes you need to stop. Screw those bis ass donuts, protect you body. pay someone the $20 to do it by hand.
Pay someone the money to do it by hand. If you have aftermarket wheels you are asking for it.

dont ever do it, my hre's got fucked up by one of those places. pay the 20-30$ and get it done by hand
Do it yourself! I don't machines, nor would I pay $20 for someone else to do it when I can use $20 for other things. Like 20 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburgers from Wendy's.

I always have my car hand washed... Running it through the car wash facility screw up many things on your car.
the auto carwashes with the railings is a big no no... you're just asking for your wheels to get scraped up...

+1
yeah ever since i started modding...i only wash the car in my driveway
:paranoid: Don't even risk it. Pay someone to hand wash your car or bring it to a self serve wash.

If you live in SoCal, there is a car wash place in Walnut with no rails. The workers simply drive your car through the car wash. My lazy friend with a lowered C55 on HREs does it all the time.
I've never taken my car to an automatic wash :D
Yeah I always have it hand-washed. There is a hand wash over here on PCH that is really good that I go to all the time. I almost went to this machine wash place over in Hermosa this weekend because I was strapped for time. After looking at those little tracks and then at the 19"s I wisely decided against it. The lil mexican dude at the front who gives you the ticket tried to convinence me that my wheels would fit but I was like f*** that cabrone :flipa: :D

Really, you're drivin' around in $60K+ cars and you're going to let some stupid machine wash it for you? Pay the money and have a nice day.
