Oh wow, the 70-200 is even "less" expensive than the 17-40 at amazon. I really have no use for that range currently though.

I wonder if L glasses are really worth it?

Usually wide angle lenses will cost more.

L Glass is definitely worth it. Color and contrast is completely different vs standard. Very vibrant. The behind the scene pics of Derrick's car were taken with the 70-200mm and no Photoshop work other than crop/resize. I can't get that kind of color and clarity from standard lenses.

True dat, with exceptions to the 500-600mm lenses. :eek:hnoes:
