My HP laptop finally quit.Power(ac)connector died.I took the hard drive out(Fujitsu #MHT2060At)but now how do I get the data from it?Is there a way to hook it too my pc via an external chord or connection so I can recover all the pics and data from it and transfer it too my pc hard drive? Or is there a way to add it too my Dell PC in the internal wire harness, such as a secondary hard drive?I need to get the data off this laptop hard drive some way.

Yes...I am very computer clueless.

Some laptops allow you to "slave" the hard drive using a cartridge. If not you just might have to buy a enclosure and get a converter so you attach the laptop hard drive to standard IDE and hook it up via USB.

It will depend on the laptop you buy. Some laptops have a slave cartridge for you to insert a second drive.

If it isn't available, you can buy a laptop IDE to standard IDE converter and a) Stick it in a USB hard drive enclosure or b) hook it up to your desktop PC and back it up that way.
