Anyone figure out and use the Distronic features with cruise control? If I recall reading the mannual, you can set it to "pace" vehicle in front and the distance is adjustable. I haven't seen any menus while driving to configure/set/see this?

BM - have you used yours?

Yeah, thats the one. I like it because if Im going like 90 or so and I see a pig, I dont even have to use the brakes to slow down real fast

not that I would ever use it, but

a) if its there I want to know about it and test it. and
b) It may come in handy for "caravan" group rides or long trips with more then one vehicle.

really just curious if it works as "theorized" or not. I will finger it out.
Make sure you finger it real well. I've heard the deeper you go the more it gives back :dunno:
that saying has been a long running expression in my IT group for years.... especially when working with business hotties. " I would be happy to finger out your issues" (of course not actually spoken to the hotties or trip to HR to follow)

Finger HR too. HR chicks are usually hotter anyway. :D
distronic is handy on long trips and can be retrofitted on cars not having it.

I've had a change of heart since driving Trez's 63.

It warns you if someone infront of you is slowing down real fast (or your speeding up on them real fast).

Good for crazy driving

I had it pace someone infront of me to, it felt weird so I shut it off after about 10seconds.

thanks for bumping this thread, so I was going through the in dash menu's and still have not been able to find out were it is? I assumed it was under parktronic, were I also see the sppedtronic MPH settings, I know my sticker says distronic. where is the distronic menu? does it only come up while driving and with cruise on maybe?

RTFM :D
For the Distronic menu to appear, you first have to calibrate it. You have to get within 5 feet of a car at 70mph for exactly a quarter mile, then put the car in neutral, turn the key to the off position, put the car in park (while coasting), start the car, turn off ESP and slowly shift to Drive, making sure you stop at Reverse for a good 3 seconds.

Distronic should be working fine by that time.

Btw, in case you don't have a sense of humor (just making sure :dunno: ) don't try it
