So my boy said Chevron is the best gasoline to use and second is 76. I asked how do you know and he said his in law's relative is a petroleum engineer strongly recommend Chevron. I used to be a Mobil and Shell guy, might have to switch to Chev if it is true. Any input? :dunno:

Any of those three are fine according to debates in the past.

The indepedents are the ones you should worry about.

The question should be, why the fuck are we paying so much??? :wall:

I've heard a lot of weird stuff about gas.

My friends dad is a truck driver for various gas companys which I won't disclose but I remember a few things he told me and I don't know if they are true or not.

89 Octane is simply made by mixing 87 & 91???

Valero Gas Companies are apparently really good.

Independent gas companies carried recycled/old gas.

thats allI remember for now. LOL

The answer is:
Because California taxes the living shit out of you!

I just filled up yesterday with 93 octane chevron Premium for $2.57, and that's the highest it's been in a long time. It was $2.39 not too long ago!

Also, the only gas I've ever heard anyone voice a strong preference for is Chevron.
