Hey guys, glad to be here - looks like a tight group.

I want to thank Jangy for all is help with my new ride. Its really rare to find someone so eager to help ''

Am selling my '99 E55 and just bought a 05 E55 (Designo Graphite). COMPLETELY different world from the '99.

Looks like everyone is in Southern California...any one here from Washington???

My question for you guys, aside from new wheels, what mods should I start checking off? Lowering module, exhaust, resonator delete???

Would love to hear your feedback

Welcome :)
Congrats on the purchase.

I agree , different world.

Get some HREs
Welcome aboard and glad I could be of some assistance.

Congrats on your new ride. You definitely have to do the Lowering Module and Resonator delete. The exhaust, not so sure. Expensive and not too much of a performance improvement. There are a lot of guys here in the E55 forum who are into modding their cars so I'm sure they can help you further.

I believe there are a couple members from the NW region. Check out the members list up top.
Congrats! As far as modding how much is your 401k budget? :paranoid:
Welcome aboard.
Lowering module and resonator delete
Welcome...

out of those, I too would agree with the lowering module and resonator delete for a lil more "sound"...Doubt you will have any hp increase but you'll sound alot better...I jus wish I knew what a stock E55 with only a resonator delete sounded like...I'm thinking about putting my resonators back and doing the electronice cut-outs....well see though....
For a little extra I think the Brabus B55 runs about $5k for some tuning, FAintake,Cam, etc and yeilds minor HP improvement. definetly not the best bang for buck, but a solid Mod. (in lieu of the $30k full re-tune)
I gotta agree. ELM (the digital one) and resonator deletes. On the ELM, be sure to modify it to allow on the fly adjusts.
Jangy, just curious but how long does it take to adjust the car between the highest and lowest setting? It'll be cool to sink the car at a stoplight when someone is staring at it ;)
it takes about 2 seconds! its just as fast as the ride hight adjustment button.
WHOA that's COOOL. If my car had Airmatic I'd be raising and lowering it all the time...just for fun.
do all e-classes have airmatic suspension?

Negative. Roupin is on springs.

Wow you learn someting new everyday....I thought all W211's came with airmatic...I guess not... :hmm:
It is standard on the E550 and up. It is an option on the 350 and TDi.
I've seen several ELM's - is there one better than the other? I was checking out Renntech's and was curious about "on the fly" adjustments.

Jangy, you mentioned about modding it so that you can easily change it...what does that entail?

Are there ones with frequently used height settings?

Also, if I prefer to slam it a bit and keep it that way, are there front and rear camber kits to avoid the excessive tire wear? My '99 E55 goes through tires about every 9k miles...that's with flipping them so that the outside edge gets to see some road time.
