More information on CL441-DSP (cleansweep)
As an authorized JL dealer and former JL sales rep here's a few things you will need to know about the Cleansweep.
-for any and all Logic7/MOST systems, you will need a signal summing device to sum the inputs of each channel. Reason for this is that there needs to be a full range signal generated for the Cleansweep to work as it is supposed to. So don't be surprised if you need additional parts.
-JL does offer a signal summing device called the CL-SSI which works well with the cleansweep. And it's the cheapest priced unit of the others available. The CL-SSI retails for $149. You can use an audio control piece listed by another member, the LC6-i, or the LC8. Peripheral makes a piece called the PCH-8 which is very similar to the Audio Control LC8. And lastly, there's the new bad boy in town called the ARC-SRI. They all serve the same primary function, but the cost of the latter units is almost doubled to the CL-SSI. *JL had issues with the first gen release of the SSI, but all the fixes has been made.
-The calibration procedure is not for the faint hearted. Have a professional install the Cleansweep.
-The Cleansweep won't guarantee a flat EQ response curve, but it'll be the closest thing you can find that isn't an aftermarket headunit.
-Alpine makes the Mobile pro system which is absolutely amazing if you're into true hi fidelity, but it also costs a couple hundred more than the Cleansweep.
If you have any problems installing this, shoot me an email.
Thanks,
Jim
