Hey guys, have a conundrum for you.

I want to make my exhaust note louder but I don't want to spend too much on it (including put it back to stock). I want it louder and was wondering what was the best/cheapest way to go about it.

I know there are a few ways I can go about this, what do you guys think?

Should I just remove the resonators?

:dunno:

Removing the resonators is probably the cheapest mod to get a little more noise.

How much louder will it be?

Would straight pipes be better? Or too loud...?

How about opening up the mufflers and taking out the buffers..?

I do want it around 20-30% louder :drive:

Leave the mufflers alone. Straightpipe the resonators like recommended. If you want it louder still, straightpipe the secondary cats next. You should be happy with either or both of them gone.

You are are gonna trip out when you hear this. SL500's have NO resonators from the factory. He straightpiped the secondary cats that week anyway.

If your in Sd, you can swing by and listen to the SL55 that we have here with the Resonators cut out.
If you're saying I should make my SL louder by buying a 55, I agree :D
Yeah, but the SL55.
