Which is better paying your insurance in full or doing monthly paymnts? Just curious if there are any pros/advantages or cons/disadvantages to this?

TIA

No pros or cons other then the obvious.

Paying 6 months rather than per month.

Pros:
- won't be late on bills
- hassle-free, no monthly paying of bill
- no worries for 6 months

Cons:
- fronting the money for 6 months
I pay my annually just so I don't have to worry about it other then once a year, and BTW I am with Wawanesa, a SD based company, not the cheapest, but great service.

lol I'm with Wawanesa as well and been with them since 01. Actually for me they are the cheapest compared to others. How long you been with them?

Thanks Dut!
Progressive for me, shopped around and for mutiple cars they were the cheapest.
Wawanesa here also. The annual thing is probably best like Mark said so your worries are out of the way. As I've gotten older, the only thing I look forward to is being able to pay for the full year with what I used to pay for 6 months. I don't know whether to give a  or  to that. :D
Ling you're with wawa too? lol :D Maybe we can get a group buy on them and see if we can get a mymbonline discount? :D  :paranoid:

Thanks for the suggestions. Didn't know if there were any advantages on paying it in full or doing it monthly.
I've been with them on/off since I started driving. At one point they wouldn't cover a car of mine because they said it was "too low" after an inspection. I had been with AAA for over 8 years because they offered the highest available liability coverage. Wawanesa finally got around to offering that last year.

That reminds me, if you pay every 6 months they do charge an administrative fee of like $6.

Group Buy sounds good though.
I'm with Allied, just switched over from Mercury.

I love big companies who won't question claims too much :D

I wanted to go with Wawanesa, but there were some complications due to a bunch of random factors... but, I went with Mercury and got a buttload of random discounts that ended up making it cheaper than Wawanesa (slightly). Plus, if you have a car that's valued over $75k, Wawa won't insure you (it's not a problem now, but in the future or for all you ballers out there)...

Dragon's ML63 is with Wawa... :dunno:

It's funny because Vic55 is the one who referred me to them because he used to be with them. Not sure about the admin fee because i normally pay every 2-3 months. Funny thing is when i get the bill there is no due date. :wtf: Not complaining or anything just thought it was weird.

yes it is... I have been with them for 10+ years, starting with a s10 Blazer, then a 328i, then G35, then C55, and now ML63...

When I joined they were Extremely "selective" My record is Spotless, (knocking on all wooden article in arms reach) They have good prices and great service. I also have them for my homeowners ins.

Definetly cool for further discount for MBonline members....

currently the ML is listed as my "weekender" my s10 pickup is my daily driver. (yeah right)
I'm with 21st century. I pay 6 months at a time, since that's my term.
21st century wanted $6k a year for my homeowners insurance. :wtf:
After reading all the details, I do need to double check, as I gave my s10 to my nephew, and plan to sell it, it will definelty confirm if they will move the ML63 to my primary (and only) vehicle and maintain the policy,

if not they will loose aa good standing 10+ year customer and both my car and home policies....

WTF is right, what do you have covered? mine is actually just a homeowners to cover my personal liability(inside) and my personal contents. I have a wonderful town house with association which holds the Fire/flood/structure ins..(and outside liability)

Nothing out of the ordinary. They basically said policies have changed and according to satellite imaging, my house was within 500 yards of brush even though the brush they're referring to would never pose as a threat. :bs:

Fortunately, I had a local Farmers guy who was wlling to do an inspection in person and he basically said they're smoking some good :chronic:.
I'm with Geico and been insured with them over 6 yrs. i love their service, gotten into 2 minor fender benders and had a check 2 days later. Geico offers 2 ways of payment, 1 lump sum for the entire 6 months or 4 payments (first 4 months paid, 2 months non-paid) but they charge a $4 fee every month if you go that route unless you get it automatically deducted from your account. Geico is the cheapest for me. I have a Benz, Mini S and a Civic and it's $1100 for all 3 cars for 6 months and I'm at 300K/300K (maxed out) on liability with a $500 deductible AND I live in SF.
I was with STATE FARM since I was 17 - no problems at all, maybe a little on the expensive side? but they have always been there for me on my claims.

Right now the only company I can find to insure my japanese vehicle is progressive - still cost a grip. LOL.
