Why is it so weak initially? Are you having trouble spinning them?
There's only stress on the tranny before the tires break loose, and when they regain traction. When you're roasting them at 4k rpm, there is no additional stress though.

Was it on dyno mode?

Is there a way to identify tranny failure caused by burnouts?
Not if you clean the wheelwells. That's how Cadillac was identifying abuse to the CTS-V which was killing their weak diffs.

What did you have laid down?? Just water??
That's why I was surprised. My E350 smokes up more than your car did in your vids, WITHOUT the water :dunno:

Maybe the pavement was cold?

Once you get em spinnin, then its fun and games after.

With that said, glassjaw, use cooking oil! Bounce off the rev limiter. Yeeeahh.

it doesnt bounce, it shifts, i hit 130+ once :D
It bounces if you hold the shifter in the downshift position ;)

why would you wanna bounce it off?
It spins better at the top of 2nd than at the bottom of 3rd. We don't all have torquey cars like your E55 ya know ;)
