what type of oil is recommended to be used in the w203
thanks
thanks
Yes, full synthetic only. Make sure the filter is fleece and make sure they have the o-rings included because the old ones will have to be replaced. $80 does sound good since mine usually runs at about that much to $100 and I do it DIY.odessit said:it is recommended to use synthetic oil only? does $80 sound as a good price for oil change
wtf, I heard some dealers went back to 0W-40. Can't you guys make up your minds? :rofl:sergs99m3 said:its 5-40 now at my dealer and others..........
Was the 5W-30 synthetic? I'll let Serge or someone else answer that.odessit said:it says in the engine 5w30 mobil 1, and thats what i used. whats the difference with the other ones?
FSS usually counts down 10,000 miles. I change mine when FSS says about 500 miles left. The thing with the FSS is that it doesn't do an exact countdown of 10,000 miles one by one. I can set the trip odometer to 0 and drive around like normal for 1,000 miles and the FSS might only count down 500 or 700 miles. Some kind of oil quality sensor in there (supposedly) in conjunction with your driving style and it counts down from there. In actual miles, I typically go over 10,000 before FSS tells me I need to change.Goliath27 said:How long is a Oil change supposed to last. My dash said 9k...... Is that Right?
